Hi there,
On April 2, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services issued a new recommendation for children ages 6 to 11 months in certain counties to receive an early dose of the MMR vaccine. This recommendation, currently in effect through May 16, comes in response to rising measles cases and concerns about community transmission.
The recommendation applies to residents of Washtenaw, Monroe, Wayne, Oakland, Jackson, Livingston, and Lenawee counties, as well as people who travel to Washtenaw and Monroe counties.
Make sure parents, caregivers, patients, and other community members in your network know about this recommendation by sharing the graphic below on social media or in newsletters and by talking about it in your community.
